Lisa Jewel
President
Lisa Jewel has served as the former Chair of Democratic Precinct 127, Chair and Vice Chair of Democrats of North Mecklenburg, and a voting member of the Democratic North Carolina State Executive Committee. She also has worked as a Mecklenburg County Democratic Election Judge and precinct poll worker.
She has volunteered on numerous local campaigns and national campaigns for Obama for America 2008 and 2012, as well as Hillary for America in 2016. Lisa ran in the primary for North Carolina House District 98 in 2024, was the Resolutions Chair of Democratic Women of Mecklenburg County and was on the Mediation Committee of the NCDPJC.
Professionally, she worked in advertising and marketing for over thirty years. Lisa lives in Davidson, NC with her daughter and husband.

Amy Block DeLoach
1st Vice President
Amy was a candidate for North Carolina State House District 20 in 2022.
A fourth Generation Native of Wilmington, NC, she is a married mother of 3 adult children. Amy is a long time member of B’nai Israel Congregation, Wilmington. She was its first female president in 2006. She was elected again for a second term in 2021.
Amy has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of NC Chapel Hill, and has been on the boards of Bellamy Mansion, the Children’s Museum, and the Advisory Council of the Rape Crisis Center of Coastal Horizons. Amy also served as PTA president for her local schools in Wilmington.
She is a strong advocate for Medicare expansion, assuring access to education, sound environmental policies and protecting women’s reproductive rights.

Perry Dror
2nd Vice President
Perry is a dual citizen (USA and Israel) and an IDF veteran NCO (final rank; First Sergeant), serving in the First Lebanon War. He believes that his years abroad, and extensive business travel in Europe, have broadened his horizons and given him perspective. Perry is a left-wing liberal (in the traditional sense of the term).
He graduated from Wayne State University with a BFA in Drawing. Twenty years later, Perry completed an MBA in Finance from Bradford University.
Perry had a 25-year career in Big Pharma and since relocating to Asheville (2001), he led a consultancy, headed the non-profit, Building Future Builders, then worked for prominent Asheville attorney, Robert Deutsch. This experience led to serving as a criminal magistrate in Buncombe County for 2 years and change. Since 2012, he has been serving as a Senior Principal, Expense Analysis for Tryon Clear View Group.
He has lived in Asheville since November 2001, and is a longtime member, and past president, of Congregation Beth Israel (CBI) and currently the treasurer of CBI’s cemetery, Lou Pollock Memorial Park. Perry is also the current 2nd Vice Chair for NC 11 Democrats.
Stef Mendell
3rd Vice President
Stef Mendell has lived in Raleigh since 1964 and has been a member of Beth Meyer Synagogue since that time. In 1967 she and Susan Kare were permitted to have a joint quasi-Bat Mitzvah at Beth Meyer, which helped pave the way for future Bat Mitzvahs.
Stef has an extensive background in international communications, including more than 16 years in global communication roles at GlaxoSmithKline.
Since then, she was elected to and served on the Raleigh City Council, championing several initiatives to better engage Raleigh residents with local government.
Stef is a founding member of Livable Raleigh, a 501c4 organization, whose mission is to educate and activate the residents of Raleigh to be informed about their local government. Livable Raleigh had a profound impact on the 2022 Raleigh City Council election by being a pivotal influence in the election of four new members to the city council.
Stef earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has one son.
Linda Brinkley
Secretary
Linda Brinkley is one of the founding members of the NCDPJC, which started with a handful of Jewish Democrats in Wake County in 2022. She is a lifelong Democrat and has been active within the NCDP for 6 years. Linda has been the Chair and Vice Chair of her local precinct, a member of the State Executive Committee(SEC), Wake County Executive Committee and past President of the NCDPJC Wake County Chapter. In addition, she is a member of the League of Women Voters Healthcare Committee and is a Member of the NC Reproductive Freedom Coalition as the NCDPJC representative.
Linda has been an active member of Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh for over 40 years, serving as the Sisterhood Co-President, on the Rabbi Search Committee, Dues Revision Committee, Progressive Kehila member, Ritual Committee Chair, Torah reader, and service leader.
Professionally, Linda is retired after working most of her career in health care utilization analysis at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. She also spent several years working in state government at the NC Division of Health Services in epidemiology and Vital Records.

Matt Sadinsky
Past President
1st generation American-Parents immigrated from Israel in 1952.
Graduate of Cornell University’s College of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Worked in several political arenas focused on building jobs and careers.
Entrepreneur and small business owner focused on adult learning and helping vets, grads, and pros build careers in Energy. North Carolinian by choice. Lived in Raleigh-Cary from 1995-2000.
In Charlotte, NC since 2002. Former Boy Scout Commissioner and Little League Coach.
Life long Democrat. 2020 Biden Delegate. NC State Exec Committee (SEC) Member, Meck 2018-2022.
Member of Temple Beth EL Charlotte Since 2002. TBE Brotherhood Board. Father of 4 daughters and 1 son who attended the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro 2014-2018.
Active in community, democratic party, political and Jewish Community Affairs.

Jeff Bierer
Immediate Past President
Jeff served on the Temple Beth El Board and the Foundation for the Jewish Community (FCJC) boards. He is the current Secretary of Mecklenburg County Democrats. As FCJC Board Chairperson, Jeff led the development of its strategic plan. He also launched ‘Create Your Jewish Legacy’ endowments across Shalom Park.
When Jeff was on the board & executive committee at the LJCC, he co-led the strategic planning team.
Jeff served for 11 years on the Temple Beth El Brotherhood Board and was once the Brotherhood Board Chairman.
Jeff participated in the first Bernstein Leadership group.
Jeff Bierer has a bachelor of arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Business Administration from Boston College. Jeff was in a masters program in Political Communications at the University of Maryland.
Jeff was a speechwriter for the wife of a sitting US Senator during the senator’s re-election campaign and was press secretary for a congressional candidate.
Jeff served for 13 years as a Senior Vice President for Financial Protection Services Innovation at the Bank of America.
