Our Country, Constitution, and State are in Crisis
Darkness isn’t waiting in the wings; it’s already on center stage.
- In Minnesota, Renée Good and Alex Pretti were shot and killed by ICE agents while exercising the right of peaceful assembly.
- Don Lemon and Georgia Fort—both journalists—were arrested despite the guarantee of freedom of the press.
- In North Carolina, over 400 people were arrested by ICE during Operation Charlotte’s Web.
- 30,000 Charlotte-Mecklenburg students stayed home rather than risk exposure to ICE agents.
- Statewide, over 3,000 arrests were made last year, with the overwhelming majority of those arrested having no serious criminal records.
- Just a few weeks ago, outside a Charlotte synagogue a flyer with a swastika and a noose threatened, “Whether you swing to the left or the right we will simply swing you by the neck.”
If ever there was a time to come together as NC Democrats, and strive for a common goal, it is here and now.
Post-election analysis showed that we lost voters over bread and butter issues, such as cost of living, wages, healthcare, and housing.
Moreover, the GOP has shamelessly pushed through a new gerrymandered redistricting.
Our focus on down-ballot elections—and getting out the vote—fits perfectly within the NCDP’s new two-year plan to:
Flip the NC Supreme Court and unrig our maps! What’s the plan?
- 2026: Re-Elect Justice Anita Earls
- 2028: Flip three Supreme Court seats for a 5D to 2R majority.
- Reinstate fair maps (so that candidates will need to win their seats, instead of maps anointing legislators and judges).
If ever there was a time for us all to stop fracturing the party with divisive resolutions, come together as NC Democrats, and strive for a common goal, it is here and now.
North Carolina Jews are at Risk
58% of religious-based hate crimes in the United States are targeted toward Jews.

Antisemitic incidents have increased in North Carolina at twice the rate as the nationwide increase.^

The mission of the NC Democratic Party Jewish Caucus is to help elect Democratic candidates at every level by contributing Jewish voices and values, creating a welcoming place for Jews, and strengthening the Democratic Party.
Tikkun Olam
A Jewish concept which refers to action intended to repair and improve the world. The NCDP Jewish Caucus believes strongly that a unified Party can help heal our state, our nation, our world.
The NCDP Jewish Caucus Will Continue to:
- Work in partnership with the party to elect Democrats up and down the ballot;
- Support the Democratic Party with our hard work, expertise and resources;
- Oppose any attempt that hurts or diminishes any person based on gender, race, religion, color, ethnicity, national identity, sexual orientation or gender identity, disability, economic, education, or veteran status.
